TS Renovations is an owner-run remodeling company based in Chittenden County, VT, in business since 2006. We run a tight team where every carpenter is highly skilled. Our work spans full home remodels, additions, outdoor living spaces, and everything in between.
About the Role
We're hiring an experienced Carpenter to work alongside a Lead Carpenter on residential remodeling projects from frame to finish. You'll be a key part of a small crew, taking projects from demo through punch list and contributing to the quality and progress of the job on site.
Our project mix means mostly indoor work through the Vermont winter. If you take pride in craftsmanship, run a clean and organized jobsite, and want to work for a company that does things the right way, we'd like to talk to you.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside the Lead Carpenter through the full project lifecycle, demo to punch list
- Read plans and execute the work to spec
- Perform high-quality framing and finish carpentry: walls, joists, stud work, cabinets, trim, doors, windows, flooring, tile, drywall, and more
- Communicate clearly and professionally with crew, subs, and homeowners
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient worksite
- Solve problems in the field and bring solutions, not just questions
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on carpentry experience on residential remodeling projects
- Strong skills across the full scope: framing, finish, trim, cabinets, tile, and everything in between
- Ability to read and interpret plans and translate them to the field
- Strong communication skills with crew and clients, and a positive, professional attitude on the jobsite
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage a consistent 40-hour week
- Lives within reasonable commuting distance of Chittenden County
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own tool belt, hand tools, and standard carpentry tools
- Comfortable on your feet all day and able to lift 50+ lbs
