The Vermont Permanency Initiative (VPI), part of the New England School for Girls, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our collaborative education team. VPI is a grades 6–12 residential school committed to providing high‑quality, individualized education to students in a supportive, structured environment.
Position Overview
The Math Teacher provides general education instruction and works closely with special education staff and related service providers to plan, instruct, and support student learning. This role is ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic, student‑centered, and committed to helping all students achieve high academic standards.
What You’ll Do
Deliver engaging math instruction across multiple content areas
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including special education staff
Align instruction with Common Core Standards, Vermont Proficiency‑Based Graduation Requirements, and 21st Century learning skills
Use best practices in mathematics instruction to support diverse learners
Establish and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and positive student behavior
Support students academically and socially in a residential school setting

Bachelor’s degree in a math‑related field
Eligible for a Vermont Teaching License (or ability to obtain)
