Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in a fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment in northern Vermont. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of industrial equipment and systems while helping support a growing maintenance and reliability program.
Our facility includes 11 CNC machines along with semi-automated finishing systems, dust collection infrastructure, vacuum systems, compressed air systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled equipment.
We are seeking a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, solving problems independently, and contributing to a team-focused manufacturing operation. Primary Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC manufacturing equipment and supporting systems
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, and controls-related failures
- Support PLC-controlled equipment and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform preventative maintenance and reliability focused maintenance activities
- Identify recurring machine issues and support long-term corrective actions
- Support facility systems including dust collection, vacuum systems, compressed air, and finishing equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical support and replacement parts
- Fabricate or modify fixtures, gauges, and maintenance components as needed
- Maintain strong communication with production and maintenance leadership
- Support ongoing efforts to improve machine reliability and reduce reactive maintenance
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in industrial maintenance roles
- Understanding of industrial safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures
- Experience working around industrial electrical systems and 480V equipment
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to diagnose electrical control systems and machine faults
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial vacuum systems
- Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, bearings, gear reduction systems, and machine components
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively under pressure
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be dependable with strong attendance and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting CNC equipment
- Experience with PLCs, sensors, relays, contactors, and VFDs
- Arc flash awareness and safe electrical troubleshooting practices
- OSHA 10 certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience supporting preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Experience in advanced manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting reliability improvement initiatives
Work Environment & Expectations
- Fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment supporting production-critical equipment
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and changing production conditions may occur
- Frequent walking, standing, lifting, climbing, and machine troubleshooting throughout the facility
- Work hours may vary based on production demands, emergency repairs, and facility requirements
- Position requires a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership
- Must be comfortable troubleshooting complex industrial equipment safely and methodically under production conditions

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
