Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative therapist to join our growing team. LADC and/or LMHC licensure is preferred, though other relevant clinical licensure and experience may be considered. This role is ideal for a clinician who values patient-centered care, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and is passionate about supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
The therapist will provide individual counseling, collaborate closely with medical providers and support staff, and help support a coordinated, whole-person approach to care. Experience with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction principles is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling services for patients with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Collaborate with medical providers and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to treatment
- Support patients in meeting individualized recovery and wellness goals
- Participate in a collaborative, patient-centered care environment
- Potential opportunity to assist with or develop group services in the future
Qualifications
- Vermont licensure as an LADC, LMHC, or other relevant clinical license preferred
- Experience working with substance use disorder and/or mental health populations preferred
- Commitment to harm reduction and patient-centered care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable providing virtual/telehealth services
- Experience with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, or integrated behavioral health is a plus
Compensation & Schedule
- Approximately 20 hours per week initially, with opportunity for growth
- Position may be structured as either:
- Part-time benefited employee position, or
- Independent contractor arrangement
- Compensation commensurate with experience and role structure
