Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Procedure Specialist role (PA or NP) based in Colchester, VT. The Procedure Specialist will perform and assist with regenerative medicine procedures, including patient preparation, injections, and post-procedure monitoring under established protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting focused histories and physical examinations, reviewing diagnostic imaging and lab results, and determining patient suitability for non-surgical treatments in collaboration with supervising physicians. The role also involves educating patients on treatment options, explaining procedures and aftercare, and documenting all encounters accurately in the medical record. The Procedure Specialist will participate in follow-up visits, assess treatment outcomes, coordinate care with the clinical team, and support a safe, efficient, and compassionate clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in good standing in the state of Vermont, with experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, or related fields preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic findings (e.g., imaging, lab results).
- Demonstrated proficiency and comfort with performing in-office procedures, injections, and patient monitoring, or willingness to be trained in regenerative medicine techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients, discuss treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Organizational and clerical skills to manage patient flow, maintain accurate documentation, and support scheduling and follow-up processes.
- Ability to provide professional, empathetic care to individuals experiencing chronic pain and to maintain patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification and familiarity with OSHA and infection control standards in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours on Mondays and Thursdays. We project this will be a 10 hours per week position.
