Position Summary
Historic Homes of Runnemede is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Leader to oversee clinical services for approximately 40 residents across our residential care campus.
The Resident Care Director is responsible for the overall management of nursing and residential care services, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and exceptional resident outcomes. This position provides leadership and support to a dedicated team of nurses, LNAs, PCAs, and caregivers while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Provide oversight of all nursing and resident care services across the campus.
- Conduct resident assessments and ensure timely completion of care plans.
- Monitor resident health status and coordinate interventions as needed.
- Oversee medication management and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Vermont Residential Care Home regulations and best practices.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and support a team of approximately 15–20 nurses and caregivers.
- Coordinate staff education, orientation, and ongoing training.
- Assist with staffing and scheduling to ensure quality resident care.
- Mentor staff and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care.
Care Coordination
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, therapists, families, and community providers.
- Communicate changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
- Support admissions, resident transitions, and service planning.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate resident records within the electronic medical record system.
- Ensure timely completion of assessments, incident reports, care plans, and clinical documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys.
Qualifications
- Current Vermont RN license in good standing.
- Previous leadership experience in assisted living, residential care, long-term care, or senior living preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, care planning, and resident assessments.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems; Yardi experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
