School Psychologist Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary by placement but may include:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports
- Participate in eligibility determinations and IEP development
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions and supports
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based problem-solving teams
- Provide consultation regarding behavioral interventions and classroom supports
- Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation
- Support positive school climates and student success
Qualifications
- Master's Degree, Specialist Degree, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Valid Vermont School Psychologist License or eligibility
- Strong skills in assessment, consultation, intervention, and collaboration
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
