FLSA Status: Full-Time
Pay: $47,840-$49,920
Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend days and evenings required
Reports To: Director of Strategic Partnerships & Community Engagement

Summary:
The Construction Volunteer Coordinator’s role is to heighten volunteers’ awareness and participation in the mission of GMHFH on the build sites. This position oversees the complete volunteer management cycle on the build sites, including screening, scheduling, communication, stewardship of organizational volunteer teams, and acknowledgment of volunteers, and assists with various organizational activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen and schedule volunteers for construction sites.
- Assist Community Outreach Coordinator in recruiting individuals and groups to volunteer on the build site. Attend occasional outreach events as needed.
- Manage VolunteerUp! to start and update projects, verify hours, and prepare reports as needed.
- Work with the Family Services Coordinator in supporting home buyers throughout the build timeline including onboarding and tracking sweat equity hours.
- Lead "Habitat 101" talks to educate volunteer groups on the mission and vision of GMHFH.
- Manage corporate “Team Build Days,” including assisting with the recruiting of groups and welcoming them on the day of the build. Provides drinks, lunch and Habitat swag as required.
- Work closely with the Community Outreach Coordinator and Marketing Manager to provide volunteer-related content including photos for newsletters, social media posts, and other outreach channels.
- Post content including photos and videos on affiliate social media sites 2-4 times a week.
- Co-manage volunteer database, volunteer orientations, schedule volunteer meetings and all volunteer acknowledgment (events, swag, snacks, mailings) with the ReStore Volunteer Coordinator.
- Assist with other organizational duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications
Education And Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience with volunteer coordination or management, event planning, public relations, non-profit organizations, or equivalent education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience creating content and posting social media for a business or non-profit preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse people and personalities.
- Computer literacy and fluency in the Microsoft Suite. Database experience is a plus.
- Photography skills are preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47,840-$49,920 yearly. Compensation is determined based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. Benefits include a health reimbursement plan, 200 hours of vacation and sick time, ten paid holidays, and a 20% staff discount at the Habitat Restore.
