Position Description
The Clark Group LLC (https://clarkgroupllc.com), a woman-owned small business, is seeking a professional with experience in business operations and administration. The Business Operations Specialist reports to the company’s President and works closely with leadership to coordinate operational needs across departments, improve processes, and ensure that business functions run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
- Financial management (budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, routine bookkeeping, invoicing, bank account posting/reconciliation, routine financial reports, , Form 1099 preparation)
- Preparation of payroll and support for routine payroll tax maintenance
- Development and submission of invoices
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding and benefits administration
- Management of business registration compliance requirements across multiple states
- Support GSA contract management including contract renewals, audits, and regular sales reporting
- Provide client-related administrative support including meeting facilitation, notetaking, and weekly/monthly reporting requirements
- Support business development and marketing initiatives
- Coordinate company events, travel, and conference attendance logistics
- Minimal domestic travel may be required
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Experience supporting business operation activities, bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and communications skills.
- Interest in national environmental policy and the nexus of business, community, and environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud is required.
- Experience working with QuickBooks is preferred.

Salary Range $55,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience
