2nd Shift Welder
Are you an experienced welder looking to join a stable, growing manufacturer known for producing high-quality industrial products? We are seeking skilled GTAW/GMAW Welders to become part of a team focused on craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement. This is a second shift role located at our site near Winooski, VT. Qualifications:
- 5+ years of GTAW or GMAW welding experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong TIG and MIG welding skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
- Understanding of basic metallurgy and sheet metal fabrication.
- Basic math skills, including arithmetic and geometry.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to producing quality work while meeting production goals.
- U.S. citizen or green card holder.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components.
- Set up workstations and verify materials before beginning production.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, cut sheets, and weld symbols.
- Weld in multiple positions on various material thicknesses while maintaining quality standards.
- Troubleshoot welding equipment as needed.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet production and quality specifications.
- Follow all OSHA, environmental, and company safety procedures.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the production leadership team.
Compensation:
- Starting pay of $28-$34/hour
