At Polhemus, we’re searching for a dependable and detail focused individual to help with our Shipping and Receiving needs as well as on the floor of our Production department. Work Monday-Friday flex hours between 6:30am and 5pm! Your schedule, your way! You will play a key role in delivering magnetic tracking solutions to some of the biggest names in tech, healthcare, aerospace, and more.
This role reports directly to the Production Manager and currently has no direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare finished products for shipment
- Create pick lists and other packaging documentation
- Assemble entire products or components
- Read and interpret aids, manufacturing documents, and wiring diagrams
- Soldering fine wire
- Work under a microscope
- Rotate through tasks for specific production processes
- Conduct quality inspections on products and parts
- Strip wire insulation
- Build/work on cables and harnesses
- Support quality and production objectives
- Operate over-molding machine
- Work independently and collaboratively
Qualifications:
- Care and attention to details with processes and procedures
- Basic Computer skills to work with shipping carrier web services, email, & MRP system
- Previous experience with Shipping & Receiving docks
- Desire to learn hand soldering and rework on fine wire often under a microscope
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Be able to stand, move or sit during shift and lift up to 40lbs
- The drive to learn new tasks and skills
- We will train!
