Turn to Joy has a great team of caring early care & education professionals. Turn to Joy is a new center located in South Hero for Infants and Toddlers. Our 3 and 4 year olds attend Turn to Joy at the Annex, in Grand Isle. It's a beautiful 20-30 minute drive from Burlington. On-going training will be provided. Experience preferred by not necessary.
What You'll Do
- Provide extra assistance to students with special needs
- assist children individually or in small groups
- Supervise and support children in classrooms and on the playground
- Observe students' performance, and record relevant data to assess progress.
- Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
- Organize and label materials
- Attend meetings, as required.
- Carry out therapeutic regimens, such as behavior modification and personal development programs, under the supervision of special education instructors, psychologists, or speech-language pathologists.
Requirements
- Assist students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with other teaching professionals to develop educational programs.
- Develop instructional materials.
- Plan educational activities.
