Role Overview
Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, sales, and customer service. Ensures proper store opening and closing, maintains merchandise presentation, and controls inventory levels. Evaluates financial performance, identifies business trends, and manages expenses and shrinkage. Upholds safety, security, and compliance standards, and leads a team to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring legal compliance.
- Communicate performance expectations and conduct regular meetings.
- Manage store opening/closing, staffing, and daily operations.
- Analyze sales and expense data to optimize store performance.
- Order and manage stock to meet inventory targets.
- Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage adherence.
- Maintain accurate inventory and financial integrity through cash handling and security protocols.
- Provide a safe, clean, and organized shopping environment.
- Follow company policies, complete documentation, and facilitate team development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience with recruiting, training, and managing teams; knowledge of federal labor laws preferred.
- Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
- Use of equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Occasional climbing and outside weather exposure.
- Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
