The Cashier / Stock Person plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized. Working within a medium-sized team, this position supports daily store operations, handling cash transactions responsibly and maintaining inventory through effective stocking and price tagging. The role reports directly to the Store Manager and involves working daily shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends, with both customer-facing and back-of-store responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service
- Replenish stock to ensure shelves are adequately supplied
- Operate the point of sale (POS) system for purchases and returns
- Tag prices and organize merchandise on shelves
- Maintain store cleanliness and orderly displays
- Process customer returns according to store policy
- Lift inventory items regularly (20-50 lbs) and occasionally (under 20 lbs)
