The
Facility and Maintenance Service Worker is responsible for maintaining buses, shelters, and facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
Their daily tasks include
- cleaning and maintaining transportation assets
- fueling and inspecting buses with detailed record-keeping
- performing basic repairs, snow removal, lawn care, and general upkeep
- supporting maintenance activities such as road calls and inspections
The role requires
attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and
basic mechanical skills. A
high school diploma or GED is required, along with a
CDL with Passenger Endorsement and active DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain them.
The position offers a varied schedule, typically with
no weekends and 40-45 hours per week, including
- evening shifts until approximately 9:30 p.m.
