Position Summary
Reporting to the Property Manager, painters prepare, paint, refinish, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces across our campus, including resident homes, healthcare areas, offices, and community spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Prepare surfaces for painting and repairing imperfections.
- Use commercial painting equipment and tools safely and effectively to apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes.
- Ensure accurate color and finish results.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Work safely and comply with OSHA and company safety protocols. Protect adjacent surfaces.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a commercial painter (2+ years preferred).
- Knowledge of painting materials, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
- Ability to operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with sensitivity to the needs of older adults.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must have a valid Vermont Driver’s license.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Hiring Range
(Starting salary is determined based on candidate's experience, education, and relevant skills as well as internal equity considerations.)
