The Commercial / Farm Lines Customer Service Representative is a full-time, on-site role
based in Ferrisburgh, VT. This role supports commercial and farm insurance clients by writing new business,
responding to inquiries, processing policy changes, issuing certificates of insurance, and assisting with
renewals. Daily responsibilities include answering phone calls and emails, providing coverage information,
coordinating with producers and carriers, and maintaining accurate client records in agency systems. The
representative helps resolve billing or policy questions, follows up on open items to ensure timely
completion, and supports the preparation of proposals and documentation. This position contributes to a
positive client experience by delivering professional, courteous, and timely service.
Qualifications
- 3 years minimum experience in customer service and customer support in commercial / farm
insurance.
- Skills in customer satisfaction and customer experience, with a focus on building trust and
maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Ability to work effectively as a Customer Service Representative, managing multiple requests,
prioritizing tasks, and maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Comfort with office technology and agency management systems; proficiency in common office
software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets).
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle deadlines and a steady volume of client
interactions.
- VT Property & Casualty License.
