Description:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer (Level 3) is responsible for executing complex design and analysis tasks with significant independence while contributing to project success at IVEK Corporation. This role provides advanced technical expertise, mentors less experienced engineers, and ensures high-quality engineering deliverables in support of precision fluid dispensing and metering systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently design, analyze, and test mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Create and review CAD models, detailed drawings, and documentation using ANSI/ASME Y14 standards and GD&T practices.
- Apply FEA, CFD, and tolerance analysis to verify and optimize designs.
- Utilize structured problem-solving tools including Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Lead subassemblies or moderately complex projects from concept through production release.
- Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to Associate and Engineer-level staff.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability and regulatory compliance.
- Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues with some supervision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design practices and departmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, IEC/EN/UL, and RoHS requirements.
- Perform other engineering tasks as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Typically, 5–8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ANSI/ASME Y14 drawing standards, and simulation methods (FEA, CFD).
- Experience applying FMEA, DOE, and structured root cause analysis.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, and regulatory standards.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
