What You’ll Do
This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys balancing relationship management, business development, and credit expertise.
You will:
- Develop and grow commercial banking relationships throughout the communities we serve
- Proactively prospect for new business and build strong connections with business owners, referral partners, and community leaders
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for commercial customers and their broader banking needs
- Structure, underwrite, and originate commercial loan opportunities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and other credit information to assess risk and opportunity
- Present loan requests and recommendations to Loan Committee and Board leadership
- Manage and monitor an assigned commercial loan portfolio
- Collaborate with commercial credit and internal bank partners to deliver strong customer solutions
- Participate in community events, volunteer activities, and relationship-building opportunities that strengthen BS&L’s local presence
- Support portfolio quality, documentation compliance, audits, and ongoing risk management
What We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you bring:
- 5+ years of progressive commercial lending, credit, or portfolio management experience
- Strong commercial underwriting and credit analysis skills
- Experience structuring both CRE and C&I commercial loan solutions
- Confidence analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow
- Business development instincts and relationship-building strength
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Sound judgment, negotiation ability, and risk awareness
- A collaborative, team-first mindset
- Community-minded energy and a genuine interest in relationship banking
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 – $150,000 annually, depending on experience
