Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help bring visions to life, enhance property aesthetics, and uphold safety standards across various construction sites. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Use hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings accurately.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project scope and specifications.
- Execute residential and commercial painting projects with attention to detail, including trim carpentry, fixture installation, stucco application, and restoration work.
- Perform surface repairs such as masonry work, concrete finishing, framing, drywall installation, and renovation tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to construction site experience and proper handling of tools like welding equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, brushes, rollers, scrapers, and trowels; familiarity with power tools including sanders and spray equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise application of coatings.
- Experience with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry, drywall installation, and fixture installation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites including proper handling of welding equipment and scaffolding.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications.
- Additional handyman experience or skills in remodeling can be advantageous for versatile project support.
