Junior Infrastructure Project Manager
📍 Location: Rutland, VT (Onsite)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Infrastructure Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of IT infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with senior project managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of initiatives across network, cloud, and on-prem infrastructure environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in IT project delivery, infrastructure modernization, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, system deployments, and cloud initiatives
- Support project planning activities: scope definition, scheduling, resource coordination, and tracking milestones
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams (network, systems, security) to ensure project alignment and execution
- Track project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Support vendor coordination and ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, meeting notes, and reports
- Assist in change management and communication efforts to support successful implementation
- Ensure adherence to IT standards, security, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
Required
- 1–4 years of experience in IT project coordination or infrastructure support roles
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (networks, servers, cloud environments)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Proficiency with project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Ability to work onsite in Rutland, VT
Preferred
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with ITIL practices or project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
- Entry-level certification such as CAPM, PMP (in progress), or ITIL Foundation
- Experience working in enterprise or manufacturing environments
