Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required within the last 2 years.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Vermont license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Cross Country Program - The University of Vermont Health Network and no current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - The University of Vermont Health Network.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have IV ultrasound guidance experience, strong IV skills, AVA Certified, PICC skills, etc.
- Must have large trauma Level 1 experience in the last year.
- Must be able to assess PICC lines, complete dsg changes for PICCs and administer TPA as needed.
Unit/Facility Details: PICC line placement is not a requirement but please note if traveler is certified.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Assignment is 13-16 weeks.
- Rotating D/N, primarily days but will need to be flexible to rotate to nights as needed
- Every other weekend required
- Typically one week of nights followed by a week of days, but there could be mid-week rotations as well
- Unit does their best to allow appropriate time off between rotations, typically 48 hours
- Currently don’t have as many night needs, but really need travelers to be flexible to be utilized to fill as many of our critical vacancies as possible.
- Monday to Sunday.
Floating Requirements: Required to float to place PIV, troubleshoot PIV and PICC lines, ports, dsg changes, draw bloods as backup, etc.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
