Special Education Paraprofessional
2026/27 School Year
Green Street School is seeking a paraeducator to join their dynamic and inclusive team of educators. This position includes working with the special education department and students receiving specialized services. The candidate would be working with students in general education settings as well as pull-out services with small groups of students. Grade levels would vary depending on the needs of the students. There is a focus on literacy and math skills support, which is planned by special education teachers. Regular consultation and collaboration with special education teachers is included in order to provide lesson plans and ensure IEP goals are being targeted.
Wage grade 3, Pay range: $18.96-$26.73 based on experience, 191 days per year, 6.5 hours per day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two to three years relevant experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently with individuals and groups.

Responsibilities & Performance Expectations:
Assist in academic instructional delivery as determined by the child’s IEP team; including delivering small group instruction under the direction of a special educator or related professional.
Assist with data collection related to student performance on IEP goals/objectives
Work contracted hours and report to assigned duties, which may include outdoor supervision of students during all types of weather.
Attend all in-service and required training/student team meetings pertaining to the position.
Maintain a positive working relationship with special educators, supervisors, students, teachers and administrators.
Must demonstrate ability to problem solve, adjust programming expectations when appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality according to HIPPA, IDEA and WSESU policy.
Other duties, as assigned by supervisor or principal.
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
