The Town of Stowe, Vermont is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Technology Manager to lead and oversee the Town’s technology and communications infrastructure. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology services that support municipal operations, public safety, and community services.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement strategic technology initiatives, policies, and long-term plans.
- Manage the Town’s network, cybersecurity, communications systems, hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
- Oversee technology budgets, capital planning, vendor relationships, contracts, and RFP processes.
- Lead cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including PCI, HIPAA, and CJIS requirements.
- Manage technology asset lifecycle planning, procurement, maintenance, and replacement programs.
- Coordinate employee onboarding/offboarding technology needs and support municipal departments with technology solutions.
- Collaborate with Town leadership, public safety agencies, vendors, and contractors to deliver innovative and dependable services.
What We're Looking For
- Self-motivated individual for department of one with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive management experience in Information Technology, systems administration, or a related technology environment.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, CISSP, or equivalent are valued.
- Strong experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and technology project management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, vendors, and complex technology initiatives.
- An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
