Role Description The Automotive Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Brattleboro Auto Mall in Brattleboro, VT. This role oversees daily showroom operations, leads and mentors the sales team, and ensures a consistently high level of customer service and satisfaction. The Automotive Sales Manager is responsible for setting sales goals, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to drive new and used vehicle sales. Day-to-day tasks include coaching sales staff, managing inventory presentation, collaborating with the finance and service departments, and resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally. The individual in this role will also analyze market trends, maintain accurate sales reports, and help develop local marketing initiatives that align with dealership objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong background in automotive sales and experience with a variety of vehicle lines, including Chevrolet, GMC, and Buick.
- Demonstrated skills in customer satisfaction and customer service, with a track record of building long-term client relationships.
- Proven sales abilities, including lead management, negotiation, and closing, supported by knowledge of general automotive industry practices.
- Leadership experience managing sales teams, including coaching, performance evaluation, and team development.
- Comfort working with financing and leasing processes in collaboration with in-house finance specialists.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced retail environment, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Relevant experience in dealership sales management; a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred but not required.
