We are a rapidly expanding real estate development and property management company based in Brattleboro, VT seeking a facilities manager to oversee the maintenance of our growing portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This is a full-time salaried position with an apartment included as part of the compensation package available after a probation period.
Responsibilities
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing (leaks, faucets, toilets, drains, etc.), electrical work (outlets, switches, light fixtures, GFCI, etc.), painting, drywall repair, carpentry, flooring repairs, minor roofing repairs and general handyman tasks
· Inspect the property grounds and perform general janitorial duties
· Communicate with tenants, ownership/ management and vendors in an efficient and professional manner
· Identify opportunities to improve property appearance, efficiency or overall tenant experience
· Turnover work between tenants (make-readies)
· Be available for after-hours emergencies
Requirements
· 5+ years of property maintenance or facilities management experience preferred
· Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs
· Professional communication skills – you’ll interact directly with tenants and vendors
· Excellent organization skills and ability to manage time/ tasks with minimal supervision
· Reliable transportation and basic tools (we provide larger equipment and materials)
· Ability to pass a background check
· References required
Compensation
· Salary starting at $60,000 with room for growth
· Private on-site apartment provided after probation period
