The Occupational Therapist will provide outpatient rehabilitation services in-home or in community settings, primarily focusing on older adult patients. Key responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and promoting functional independence through techniques addressing mobility, cognition, sensory awareness, and daily activities.
They will supervise support personnel as needed, ensure timely documentation, and collaborate with the care team and other disciplines for comprehensive patient care.
Additional duties involve ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe environment. The role requires adapting therapy plans, instructing patients on adaptive devices, and performing routine reexaminations to modify treatments.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program, initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, a valid state license, and reliable transportation.
The salary range is USD $45.00 - USD $63.00 per hour.
