The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and/or commercial carpentry, excellent craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety and quality work. You will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate materials required.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials with precision.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, trim, cabinets, stairs, and drywall.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Conduct tasks related to plumbing, mold remediation, and plaster work.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work on construction sites to execute carpentry projects effectively.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other professionals on-site.
Skills
- Proven experience as a carpenter (3+ years preferred).
- Proficient in using carpentry tools, power tools, and materials.
- Solid understanding of carpentry techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and flooring installation practices.
- Ability to perform cabinet installation, metal stud framing, plumbing, mold remediation, and plaster work.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Ability to follow the manufacturer's installation guides.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
