Position: CNA or LNA with Sign on Bonus!!
Employment Type: Part-Time, or Temp-To-Hire
Shifts: 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm) with sign-on bonus of up to $500.00
Pay: Starts at $19.55 and will increase based on experience
Qualification:
- Must be a Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of this state.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be able to communicate information concerning residents’ condition.
- Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work
Job Description:
- Ambitiously provide friendly and superb service to the constituency of the Home with compassion and zeal while maintaining an attitude of professionalism, maturity and team orientation.
- Promotes the mission and values of Vernon Advent Christian Home.
- Meets personal care needs of residents such as bathing, dressing, grooming and care of skin, teeth, hair, ears, and nails. Promotes self-care as able.
- Makes occupied and unoccupied beds; cares for personal belongings such as clothing, dentures, eyeglasses, hearing aids, prosthesis.
- Meets nutritional needs by passing trays, nourishments; assists in feeding; uses adaptive equipment; monitors trays.
- Participates in bowel/bladder and toileting program, cares for urinary drainage equipment and protective equipment for ostomies and urine testing.
- Assists with ambulation, exercise, range of motion, transfers and transports using assistive devices, wheelchairs, and lifts.
- Helps prevent contractures and skin breakdown by proper body alignment, turning, positioning, and use of special aids.
- Observes and reports to team leader signs and symptoms of disability, illness, and changes in condition or behavior of resident.
- Takes, measures, and records vital signs, height, weight, and food/fluid intake/output.
- Keeps utility areas, kitchen, tubs, shower rooms, closets, and drawers in order.
- Ensures safety by reporting environmental hazards; observes infection control measures and oxygen usage.
- Remains aware of resident needs with special conditions such as mental impairment, behavior disorders, and medical problems.
- Provides terminal care measures to residents, including care of the body and personal effects after death.
- Relates professionally to residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Attends In-Service programs provided to facilitate professional development in accordance with government regulations.
- Attends unit and staff meetings on a regular basis.
