Northlands Job Corps is seeking a part-time TEAP Specialist to join our
team in Vergennes, Vermont. This position provides substance-use
prevention, intervention, and counseling services to Job Corps students
ages 1624.
The TEAP Specialist works individually and in groups with students,
develops individualized intervention plans, monitors student progress,
and helps ensure that the centers alcohol- and drug-prevention policies
are consistently understood and applied.
### Essential Duties {#essential-duties section-id="f7qkle" data-start="560" end="580"}
- Provide individual and group substance-use counseling and
intervention services.
- Develop individualized plans for students participating in TEAP
services.
- Monitor and document students participation and progress.
- Administer required drug testing in accordance with Job Corps
policies and procedures.
- Prepare quarterly reports for submission to National Health Systems.
- Train center staff on TEAP requirements, procedures, and available
student supports.
- Help ensure that TEAP services are fully integrated into center
operations.
- Reinforce consistent implementation of the centers zero-tolerance
policy regarding alcohol and drug use.
- Consult with the Health Services Manager and recommend appropriate
next steps in individual cases.
- Recommend referrals for outside treatment or separation from the
program when a students treatment needs exceed the services
available through Job Corps.
