A leading manufacturing company in Vermont is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team on a full-time basis. This position will work with CNC lathes, machining centers, and manual machining equipment to produce precision components to engineering print standards. The role will involve CNC operation, machine setup, program editing, inspection and measurement, basic assembly, and machine maintenance within a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience working with CNC machinery
- Experience operating CNC lathes and/or machining centers
- Experience with manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, drills, or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints
- Understanding of GD&T, datums, tolerancing, and drawing views
- Experience measuring and inspecting machined parts
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
