We are looking for a dependable, hardworking
Hotel Houseman to join our team. This position supports both the housekeeping and maintenance departments and is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, helping wherever needed, and keeping the property clean, organized, and guest-ready.
Responsibilities
- Assist housekeepers with stripping rooms, removing trash, and collecting dirty linens, as needed
- Help clean guest rooms when additional housekeeping assistance is needed
- Clean and maintain hallways, stairways, entrances, and common areas
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and assist with general property cleaning
- Remove trash and recycling throughout the hotel
- Assist with laundry and linen organization as needed
- Help move furniture, mattresses, deliveries, and supplies
- Perform light maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, replacing batteries, tightening loose fixtures, touching up paint, and addressing other minor repairs
- Report plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other maintenance concerns to management
- Assist with outdoor property upkeep, including sweeping walkways, removing debris, and seasonal tasks
- Respond to guest and staff requests in a friendly and timely manner
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Assist other departments as needed during busy periods
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
- Able to lift and move approximately 50 lbs.
- Basic maintenance or handyman experience is a plus
- Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is helpful but not required
- Friendly, professional, and willing to work as part of a team
- Must be available for weekends and holidays as needed
