Respiratory Therapist – Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Clinic
On-site role performing comprehensive Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) to support diagnosis and management of pulmonary conditions. Conduct spirometry, lung volume measurements, and diffusion studies, ensuring accurate data collection and monitoring patient responses throughout testing. Provide patient education on respiratory therapies and self-management.
Key Duties
- Perform PFTs including spirometry, lung volumes, and diffusion studies
- Monitor patients during testing and ensure high-quality, accurate results
- Maintain adherence to evidence-based protocols and use advanced testing technology
- Collaborate with pulmonologists, nurses, and allied professionals
- Educate patients on respiratory therapies and self-care strategies
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered/credentialed Respiratory Therapist with strong PFT competency
- Detail-oriented approach to data accuracy and patient safety
- Excellent patient communication and education skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, academic clinical environment
