Description
Join our Exchange Street team in Middlebury, VT as a
Forklift Operator II and help maintain the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of materials throughout warehouse, production, and shipping operations. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced forklift operator who takes pride in safe equipment operation, organized inventory movement, and supporting daily operational priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to keeping materials moving where they are needed—on time and with accuracy.
Schedule: Flexible 8-hour workday, Monday-Friday
Pay Range
$22.50-$25.00 per hour
Actual compensation will be based on experience, skill level and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Support loading, unloading, staging, product rotation, and shipment readiness for production and shipping needs.
- Complete warehouse records, inventory transactions, and required documentation accurately.
- Communicate material needs, shipment priorities, staging concerns, and inventory issues to warehouse leadership.
- Help maintain safe traffic patterns, organized storage areas, clean workspaces, and dependable daily workflow.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Current forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain and maintain company-required certification.
- 2-5 years of warehouse, manufacturing, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits.
- Safe work habits and ability to follow established warehouse procedures.
- Ability to work independently, communicate priorities clearly, and support organized daily workflow.
