About the Opportunity
TalentoHC has partnered with a research and innovation-driven nutritional supplement company in seeking an experienced Customer Business Partner to manage and grow strategic customer relationships. For more than 50 years, this company has developed trusted nutritional supplement products for humans and animals, used by doctors and vets across a portfolio of well-established brands. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, focusing on customer retention, satisfaction, and long-term business growth. The Customer Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers, developing a deep understanding of their business objectives while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. This role partners closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, R&D, Commercialization, and Customer Service to proactively address customer needs, resolve challenges, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen partnerships. The role is accountable for maintaining account health, driving revenue growth within existing customers, conducting business reviews, and ensuring customer priorities are aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned customer accounts, developing strong partnerships and conducting regular business reviews and check-ins
- Maintain customer segmentation tiers within the CRM, ensuring engagement and support levels align with account priorities
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, new product development, and additional revenue, while supporting retention initiatives and contract renewals
- Proactively resolve customer concerns, coordinate cross-functional resources, and lead discussions on forecasts, demand planning, and long-term business opportunities
- Support pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, and the transition of new customers into ongoing account management
- Partner with Sales Coordination, Operations, Quality, Planning, and R&D to ensure customer priorities are communicated and addressed internally
- Monitor account health, service levels, and customer feedback trends, participating in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Seasoned sales professional with the ability to grow sales and profits across multiple brands and retail channels, including both pet and human products
- Ability to work within a given budget while achieving growth with existing customers and securing new customers simultaneously
- Effective at managing a variety of retail outlets, including ecommerce
Compensation Details
Base salary of $64,000–$66,000, plus a quarterly incentive based on net sales performance against territory goals
